Our Training is held within our Wellington office location.  These SQL courses provide the hands on knowledge to create and understand SQL language.

SQL Fundamentals

This two day course is designed to provide the practical knowledge necessary to generate SQL queries in a variety of SQL enabled tools such as Crystal Report Designerâ„¢, Microsoft Query Analyzer, Microsoft Excel or similar. In our classroom environment through practical examples, a large selection of SQL statements are examined including data selection, sorting, grouping, search criteria, table joins and temporary tables.

Who should attend?
This course is designed for anyone intending to use products such as Crystal Report Designerâ„¢, Microsoft Query Analyser, Microsoft Excel or other SQL enabled tools to access data held in a relational database.

SQL Advanced

This two day course is designed to extend and build on the fundamental SQL knowledge that users have, especially to aid in the use of SQL enabled tools such as the Crystal Report Designerâ„¢, Microsoft Query Analyser and similar. In our classroom environment through practical examples, a large selection of SQL code is examined including sub-queries, union queries, stored procedures, parameters, variables, dynamic SQL, query optimisation along with both set and iterative based approaches to problem solving.

Who should attend?
This course is designed for anyone wishing to extend their SQL skills to more efficiently access and manipulate data held in a relational database and how you can interact with outside applications (eg: Crystal Reports Designerâ„¢). Attendees must have attended the SQL Fundamentals course or be able to demonstrate the same or higher level of Relational Database / SQL knowledge (Select, From, Where, Group By, Having, Order By, Inner / Outer Joins, Cartesian Products etc).
